Shed Seven return with their seventh studio album and, appropriately, have chosen to make it self-titled. Arriving after without question the most successful periods in the band's history, Shed Seven follows the remarkable achievement of scoring two UK Number One albums in 2024 - a feat matched by only a handful of artists including The Beatles, Elton John and Led Zeppelin. More than 30 years after they first emerged from York, the band find themselves enjoying a creative and commercial resurgence few could have predicted.

Rather than looking backwards, Shed Seven is a record focused firmly on the present. Written and recorded with renewed confidence and purpose, it captures a band continuing to push themselves while staying true to the qualities that have earned them such a loyal following over the years.

Speaking about the album, frontman Rick Witter says: “We are excited to announce the imminent arrival of our 7th studio album which is eponymously titled Shed Seven to honour the fact. We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts.”

The album is introduced by lead single Stand Together, a song that sets the tone for what follows. As Rick explains, it is “a call to arms and a rallying cry for some kind of unity in the world we live in today.”

For a band that has already enjoyed a career most artists could only dream of, Shed Seven feels less like a victory lap and more like the start of another chapter. Self-titled, ambitious and full of belief, it stands as a statement of where Shed Seven are today… and where they are heading next.
